Timeless Stories. Beautifully Told.
Long before The Equestrian Edit had a name, photography was already a part of my heart.
I have always been drawn to the beauty of the little things — the way golden light falls across a field, the quiet connection between a horse and its rider, the warmth of a familiar place, and the fleeting moments that somehow end up meaning the most. To me, photography has never been just about taking a picture. It has always been about preserving a feeling, telling a story, and creating something that can be cherished for years to come.
Before opening my coffee shop, Brewhaus, photography was one of my first loves. Life eventually led me down another path, one that challenged me in ways I could never have imagined. At just 20 years old, I graduated with my degree in accounting while also working toward opening my own coffee shop. Building a business so young has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, but it has also been far from easy.
Living with rheumatoid arthritis and lupus has added challenges to a journey that already demanded so much of me. There have been days that required more strength, patience, and perseverance than I thought I had. Yet, through every difficult season, I have continued to show up for the things I love and the dreams I refuse to let go of. My journey has taught me that success is not always about moving quickly; sometimes, it is about continuing forward, even when the road looks different than you imagined.
Outside of my work, some of my greatest happiness comes from the animals who make my world feel a little more grounded.
My five-year-old horse, a Thoroughbred and Friesian mix, is one of my greatest joys. I love riding English, and there is something incredibly special about the partnership, trust, and freedom that come with riding. He especially loves to run, and watching him move with that kind of power and spirit is a reminder of the beauty that exists when we simply let ourselves be present.
Then there is Bruce, my four-year-old Belgian Malinois, who brings his own personality, loyalty, and love into my life. They are both my babies, and they mean more to me than words could ever fully explain. My life with them has deepened my appreciation for connection, patience, and the quiet moments that deserve to be remembered.
It is this appreciation that brings me back to photography.
The Equestrian Edit was born from the parts of my life that have always felt most like me: a love for photography, a deep connection to horses, an appreciation for timeless style, and a desire to preserve the beauty of everyday life.
The word Equestrian represents more than my love for horses. It reflects a world of tradition, character, movement, and understated elegance. The Edit represents the thoughtful way I see the world — choosing the moments, details, and stories that deserve to be preserved. Together, the name reflects my vision for photography that feels intentional, nostalgic, and enduring.
Inspired by the classic beauty of equestrian culture and the effortless elegance of heritage style, I want my work to feel like something collected rather than simply captured. Images with warmth, depth, and soul. Photographs that feel just as meaningful years from now as they did in the moment they were taken.
For me, this business is more than a creative endeavor. It is a return to a part of myself that has always been there, even while life took me in unexpected directions. It is a reminder that we can build new dreams without abandoning the old ones, and that the things we love have a way of finding their way back to us.
I am still building, still learning, and still discovering what this journey will become. But I know that I want my photography to tell honest stories—of love, connection, character, and the beauty of a life truly lived.
Thank you for being here and allowing me to share a little piece of my world with you.
